Canopus releases DVStorm upgrade

Canopus Corporation have revealed that DVStorm – the company's real-time non-linear editing solution – is now capable of delivering five simultaneous real-time video streams after upgrade.
DVStorm users will be able to take advantage of real-time processing of filters, transitions, picture-in-picture effects, colour correction, chroma and luma keying with five streams of video. DVStorm users can acquire the upgrade at no charge by downloading the software from the Canopus website.
Robert Sharp, Vice President of Marketing and Domestic Sales at Canopus, said: "We've been leading the pack in real-time processing fro some time and with the addition of the five-stream capability continue to be untouched by the competition. And, unlike our competition, our scalable technology design allows enhancements to be added through software updates, so customers continue to get a return on their original."
The designers of the DVStorm anticipate that the solution will combine stability and reliability with render-free, real-time native editing, real-time DV and analogue input/output and MPEG output for DVD and Internet streaming. The DVStorm features over 23 real-time filters, such as colour correction and motion blur.
