HHB Supplies DiGiCo SD9

HHB Communications Ltd. has provided production supplier Hawthorns with an SD9 console to complement its stock of DiGiCo digital mixing systems.
Hawthorns' Head of Sound Jon Curnew selected the DiGiCo mixers, having already used the larger SD8 for the company.
HHB supplied the SD9 in a package with additional I/O cards, interface units and a replacement mixer system drive.
Jon Curnew said: "We carry over 20 audio mixers in our hire stock from many manufacturers, all suitable for particular types of events. The DiGiCo range offers impressive reliability and sound quality, and we chose the SD9 because it has the same excellently designed user interface and audio processing features (dynamic EQ, stereo channels, flexible routing) as other DiGiCo mixers. It will be used with the DiGiCo Little Red Box interface, so it fits with our existing MADI infrastructure and DiGiCo SD Racks."
The 48-channel SD9 is an integrated digital mixing system powered by Stealth Digital Processing that features a user-friendly 15-inch high-resolution touchscreen.
The SD9's MADI ports offer the ability to record and playback 64 channels from a multitrack recorder. Hawthorn's SD9 has been specified with dual power supplies.
