Noel Edmonds' face2face plans video studio network

Noel Edmonds has recently revealed plans to create a UK-wide network of video studios with his new company face2face.
Each venue offers convenient, accessible video communications facilities, and gives broadcasters and production companies access to studios at a fraction of the cost associated with conventional broadcasting.
With pictures accepted by the BBC and ITC as broadcast-quality, Edmonds vows to deliver more than 200 face2face venues - one in every UK city and town - before Christmas and have 1,800 affiliated sites globally by 2006.
He said: "As the broadcast industry looks to cut costs by closing studios and facilities, face2face offers an exciting solution to maintain the quality of their programming. We are developing programme formats to exploit the Video Studio concept - I might even present the odd show myself! The term 'videophone' is already accepted by the broadcasting sector and I think 'video studio' will follow suit."
