DeckLink v4 adds support for Apple Final Cut Pro 4

Blackmagic Design have announced the release of a public beta of version 4.0 software update for their popular DeckLink family of uncompressed QuickTime video capture cards.
DeckLink v4.0 adds support for RT Extreme and multi channel audio features in the forthcoming Apple Final Cut Pro 4 video editing application.
RT Extreme adds support for realtime effects built into Final Cut Pro 4, and dramatically increases the creative flexibility of the all models of DeckLink hardware.
Blackmagic said that when powerful editing software such as Final Cut Pro v4 is teamed with the low cost 10 bit video quality of Blackmagic DeckLink, powerful editing solutions may be built for a "fraction of the price of other solutions".
The new multi channel audio features in Final Cut Pro 4 are also supported, and allow up to 8 channels of audio to be output simultaneously to high end broadcast decks. All 8 channels are embedded into the SDI video output.
Blackmagic DeckLink also adds additional features not found in other solutions such as independent desktop output for use with non-QuickTime applications such as Adobe Photoshop. Also included is full support for Adobe After Effects 16 bit RGB rendering, and Discreet Combustion quick capture and realtime ram previews.
Blackmagic DeckLink v4.0 has been posted to the Blackmagic Design support website and available at no charge to customers.
