Gefen smart monitors save workspace

A new line of smart monitors launched by Gefen function as video player, television and computer monitor-in-one.
The space-saving monitors are currently available in 18 and 14-inch displays, each providing a radiation and flicker-free flat panel that maintains a 1280x1024 resolution. Each sports a video input for VCR or camcorder connection, a digital input for DVD players and a television tuner that requires a cable hookup or antenna.
The monitors come with remote control, touch screen capability, built-in stereo speakers and picture-in-picture options for those who prefer to watch video or television while working simultaneously on the computer. Additional ports for two-way stereo speakers and USB peripherals are also available.
Ideal for freeing up space in the home or office, the monitors may be placed on a desktop or hung on the wall and function optimally in any space that needs to be equipped with both a television and computer monitor. In the conference room, they are proving useful by functioning as a video player during meetings and as a monitor for travelling professionals, who simply plug in their laptop and begin working.
