Blue Lucy To Launch New Interfaces At IBC

Blue Lucy Media, a UK-based software development firm, has announced it will showcase two new, browser-based interfaces to its product tool-set, Miura ProductionWeb and Miura StoreFront, at this year's IBC show.
Miura ProductionWeb is a new production interface that provides global access to BLM’s media management and video processing tools.
Miura ProductionWeb enables all production workflow management operations to be managed from anywhere with Internet access.
BLM CEO Julian Wright said: "Miura ProductionWeb really comes into its own when scaling up an operation to manage bursts in workload or extending geographic reach. A good use case is the indexing of archive content with temporal, scene-descriptive metadata.
"Some content archives are vast and it is simply impossible to fully catalogue the material with a team of in-house archivists. The Miura ProductionWeb server, which is built into the Blue Lucy Asset Manager (BLAM) allows private or public production clouds to be created, enabling secure decentralised operations. Miura ProductionWeb utilises low bit-rate reference browse media that allows frame-accurate, geographically distributed tasks to be carried out. This enables pioneering models such as crowd sourcing to be exploited to enrich the essence metadata."
Miura StoreFront provides a public-facing portal through which material can be searched, retrieved and purchased.
It is a white-label content publishing and point-of-sale platform that provides an automated system for content owners to showcase and monetise their media catalogue.
Operationally, consumers can search for content, browse material and select clips, or sections of clips, for use in new production packages. Following a simple check-out process the material is automatically restored from a master content repository and delivered to the client’s facility in the desired format using BLM’s video processing services.

Miura StoreFront completes the picture for archive content owners by providing an on-line gallery for direct B2B or consumer syndication.
