Doremi Continues Latin American Dominance
US Digital cinema provider Doremi continues to maintain a 70% market share in Latin American cinemas, having shipped over 50,000 of its IMB (integrated Media Block) globally.
Over the past three years, Mexican cinema chain Cinépolis has completed the installation of over 3,000 Doremi IMBs with ShowVault.
Cinépolis is the leading motion picture exhibitor in Mexico and Latin America with more than 350 theaters operating in 84 cities in Mexico.
The group operates 3,151 movie screens, all of which are 100% digital, including eight IMAX, 53 Macro XE and 17 4DX. Cinépolis was the first Mexican company to introduce the concept of stadium-style multiplexes, IMAX theaters and the first in Latin America with a VIP concept.
"Latin America's cinema industry is rapidly growing, and we are thrilled to supply Doremi's server technology to the cinema operators, ensuring their forefront position in digital cinemas," said Michael Archer, VP of Digital Cinema, Doremi Labs.
"Our digital deployment has been facilitated by Doremi's unparalleled reliability of products and exceptional quality of service," stated Gabriel Morales Becker, Digital Cinema Deputy Director of Cinépolis.
