Panasonic Present Preview Of Visual Systems Solutions

With INFOCOMM 2013 now completed, Panasonic presented a host of announcements and special previews of its impressive range of innovative visual system solutions.
First of the announcements was the new ruggedised, weatherproof outdoor display, the TH-47LFX6. The 47-inch LFX6 LCD display, with a full 1,000 cd/m2 of brightness makes it possible to display content for high visibility even in direct sunlight. IP44i level dust and water resistance makes it ideal for a number of outdoor digital signage applications including digital menu boards in drive through and quick service restaurants; advertising panels and store guides in shopping centres; alert and navigation boards in educational institutions; and timetables, route guides and advertising panels at transportation hubs. The TH-47LFX6 model will be introduced in Europe this summer.
Three new professional Full-HD LED LCD series for digital signage, the LF60 and LF6 and LFE6 Series have also been announced. Highly durable, reliable and able to operate 24 hours, 365 days a year, the LF60, LF6 and LFE6 Series are also ideal for multiple digital signage applications. The series is available in 55" TH-55LF60, 47" TH-47LF60 and 42" TH-42LF60 with 700 cd/m2 brightness, which makes them easily visible even in spaces with high levels of ambient light. The Full-HD LF6 Series displays are available as the 55" TH-55LF6, 47" TH-47LF6 and 42" TH-42LF6, and feature 450 cd/m2 of brightness. Both Series include a wide range of professional and versatile functions including DIGITAL LINK, which allows transmission of Full-HD video, audio and control signals carried over a single CAT5e or higher specification Ethernet cable for up to 100 meters (328ft.). Introductions of these solutions will come later in the year.
Available as the 42" TH-42LFE6 and 50" TH-L50FE6, the Full-HD LFE6 Series of professional LED displays are ideal for those interested in a high quality display at a competitive price for basic digital signage applications. The LFE6 Series stylish design with a very slim 0.4" bezel and depth of only 2", enabling images on the display to stand out even more for greater, eye-catching visibility making them ideal for signage applications in retail environments as well as for small meeting rooms and reception areas in a corporate and business locations.
This series includes standard-equipped speakers, input/output terminals (HDMI, DVI-D, PC-IN) and control terminals (RS232C, LAN) needed for digital signage use. Introduction of these LCD displays solutions is expected in September 2013.
Welcome additions to the expansive Panasonic projector range also debuted at INFOCOMM in the form of the PT-DZ870 Series installation projectors which features three models; PT-DZ870 with 8,500 lumens and WUXGA resolution making it the industry’s brightest WUXGA 1-Chip DLP projector, PT-DW830 with 8,500 lumens and WXGA resolution and PT-DX100 with 10,000 lumens and XGA resolution. The high resolution coupled with the incredible contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and Panasonic's proprietary Dynamic RGB Booster ensures the delivery of excellent image quality.
The addition of optional ultra-short throw lens, ET-DLE030, with a throw ratio of approximately 0.38:1 (for PT-DZ870), and DIGITAL LINK connection, long distance single cable solution, will ease installation difficulty in tight spaces. The optional ET-DLE030 short throw lens will be introduced in summer 2013. PT-DZ870 series projectors are already available.
Also at INFOCOMM came news that the visual solutions group will launch the ET-MWP100G 'Multi Window Processor', a new system interface/network product.
Multi Window Processor 'ET-MWP100G' offers a variety of multiple layout solutions by processing different input sources onto video-wall, rear multi projection and edge blending projection. The MWP100G is a suitable visual solution for Control Room, Simulation, Signage and Exhibition applications. Thanks to the built-in high performance processing circuit, it's possible to freely layout multiple input sources onto multiple flat panel displays and projectors. The images can be overlaid in different fashions, including Picture in Picture, rotate windows, overlay windows and other versatile layout across multiple displays and screens. Layout design can be managed by PC based original software, while users can also pre-set a variety of layout patterns and recall them at a later timing depending on application and scene.
ET-MWP100G can be equipped with up to 16 Plug-and-Play slots for input and output modules. This new solution will be introduced in July 2013 with more information to come soon.
