New STAR Pro Audio Unveiled At BroadcastAsia

International Datacasting is to unveil the the second generation of its popular STAR Pro Audio Solution for the first time in Asia at CommunicAsia2013 in Singapore, running from June 18-21. IDC will be exhibiting at stand 1D2-04.
This second generation of the STAR Pro Audio Solution provides localised ad insertion and enables time-shifting functionality, allowing broadcasters to play the right content at the desired time.
Broadcasters can now adjust for time zones and adapt to conflicting live programming schedules.
"With this next generation of the STAR Pro Audio Solution, radio broadcasters can look forward to two very important things—boosting revenue and lowering their operating expenditures," said Doug Lowther, President and CEO, International Datacasting.
"The platform increases advertising revenues because it enables highly localised ad insertion. The ability to sell more targeted ads—by location, demographic, time zone, or language—means more revenue opportunities across the entire network."
The STAR Pro Audio Solution includes a copy split capability that allows operators to send select ads to specific regions or specific receivers.
Stored audio files can be inserted into live or recorded programming.
