Riedel launch Artist S multimedia-platform

Based on the successful Artist M technology, the new Artist S is designed as a powerful matrix platform for intercom and the routing of analogue and digital audio, and TCP/IP.
The system consists of a fiber based network backbone providing a decentralized infrastructure for your live audio and talkback applications. Multiple matrix frames (nodes)are interconnected by a dual fibre optic ring to form a single large, distributed matrix with up to 512 ports.
With up to 32 intercom ports per 19 ”/1RU mainframe, Artist S allows a high degree of decentralization of the entire matrix in a very cost-effective and ultra-compact way. As a result the matrix frames can be located next to the intercom stations saving a considerable amount of wiring and installation costs.
The Artist S fiber network provides a distributed real-time, broadcast quality audio matrix. Control panels are connected to the matrix frames entirely digital using either 75 ohm coax cable or CAT5 computer cable.4-wire ports can be analogue or AES/EBU.
Artist S 24 and Artist S 32 systems are available for standalone operation providing access to the most advanced matrix technology even in small-scale applications.
