ProSound Awards Launched

Intent Media has launched a new awards event that will focus on live touring, studio, broadcast and installation audio.
ProSound Awards is being jointly-backed by pro-audio business titles PSNEurope, Audio Pro International, Audio Media and Installation, and supported by MI Pro and Music Week.
The Awards will celebrate the commercial and creative successes of the entire pro-audio industry – from engineers and tour managers, to equipment marketeers and event producers.
It takes place on 19 September 2013 and will be held at the Ministry of Sound in south-east London. An exclusive after-party will also be held at the world famous club.
There are 12 awards across the Studio, Live/Touring, Installed Sound and Broadcast Audio sectors, as well as the Marketing Initiative of the Year, Grand Prix Award, Lifetime Achievement, and Rising Star.
DiGiCo and Sennheiser have been announced as the event's sponsors.

Ronnie Dungan, managing editor of Audio Pro International, added: "There are plenty of product awards out there but few that celebrate the individual excellence of the people working in the many and varied areas of pro audio. These awards will reflect the hard work, skill and imagination of those people."
