In the run-up to the 2013 NAB Show Ann Marie Cumming ,Vice President of Communications at NAB, tells Regional Film & Video what we can look forward to.
RFV: What are the hot topics set to ignite the industry at the 2013 NAB Show?
AMC: There are major changes happening in terms of technology, workflows and business models related to the creation, management, monetization and delivery of content. These changes are being driven by consumer demand for increased mobility, customization and interactivity in today's multiplatform media experience.

RFV: What's new at NAB Show next year?
AMC: NAB Show’s new Show Floor destinations include Connected Media World, featuring companies that specialize in the connected consumer experience through IPTV, mobile, social and cloud technologies, devices and content. Exhibitors in the Digital Signage Pavilion, a content distribution hub, will feature the latest in display technology, content playback and management software and network infrastructure. At the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Hotel, the Content Market will offer content buyers and sellers networking opportunities, including an exclusive cocktail reception and golf outing.
New educational opportunities include the Enterprise Computing Pit. Presenters will address advances in cloud computing, harnessing big data and collaborative and content management apps and middleware. NAB Show’s Post|Production World is adding a new three-day prep class, Avid Media Composer 6 and a Time-Lapse Video & Panoramic Photos Field Trip.

RFV: Can you tell us about any speakers and sessions you have lined up for the show?
AMC: Speaker announcements are still in development, but stay tuned. We’ll be announcing some big names soon. Our conference program is shaping up nicely as well.

RFV: Highlight any exciting product launches you are expecting at the 2013 NAB Show
AMC: As always, NAB Show will be a launch pad for new technology and content, just as it has for nearly a century. We don’t expect to hear specifics on product launches until closer to the Show.
RFV: What technological innovations can we look forward to sampling at NAB Show?
AMC: Ultra HD or 4K, high-dynamic-range video, panoramic HD video, 3D advancements, OLED displays, mobile TV, social TV and second screen developments and LED lighting solutions are some of the things you can expect.

They all come together at NAB Show for creative inspiration and next-generation technologies to help breathe new life into their content
