SGO Present '3D Day' In Madrid

SGO has announced that its annual 3D day, will take place on 3rd December 2012 at the Academia de Cine in Madrid, with a host of compelling afternoon sessions, followed by a Mistika Party in the Spanish capital at Sala Tempo, from 7pm onwards, in collaboration with Twice, HP, Next Limit Technologies and Perro Verde Films. The SGO 3D day will showcase Mistika's notable involvement in many world-class projects over the past year in a series of presentations with key creative artists invited to share their experience of working in high profile films such as Prometheus, The Amazing Spiderman and Asterix & Obelix: On Her Majesty's Service using Mistika. The audience will also have the opportunity to enjoy the latest trailer of The Hobbit, courtesy of Warner Bros. Spain, with the film due for release on 14th December 2012.
The Mistika Stereo 3D phenomenon will be substantiated by guest speakers and customers sharing engaging insights about recent Mistika-related blockbusters they have worked on. The line-up for the day features political Spanish figure, Borja Adsuara from RED.es discussing the country's performance-leading technology that is having a profound influence in the market. Borja states “We are honoured to take part in this event, which is a testimony to Spanish technology in a highly competitive arena, where Mistika is now involved in eminent projects worldwide. Other exciting presentations will be introduced by the CEO of SGO, Miguel Angel Doncel, which includes Identity FX's Stereoscopic Supervisor, Leo Vezzali who worked his magic using Mistika on stunning Stereo 3D movies The Amazing Spiderman and Prometheus in L.A. He will elaborate on the challenges Mistika helped him overcome and his views on the controversial 2D to 3D conversion topic. Talented European colourist, Sergio Ochoa used Mistika at Paris' Digimage on the new Asterix movie titled Asterix & Obelix: On Her Majesty's Service, and will illustrate how SGO's technology aided the production and post production phases in the mammoth project. Lead VFX Stereographer, Paco Ramos at BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting Corporation) will also present his pertinent views on Stereo 3D and the broadcasting business.
The event also aims to transform the stereotypical perception that poorly made stereoscopic 3D has made and help to significantly raise the profile of high quality Stereo 3D.
