Tyrell Supply Clear-Com Intercom For SIS HQ

Tyrell, provider of broadcast and production solutions and services, has supplied a sophisticated Clear-Com intercom solution to SIS LIVE for their brand new headquarters in MediaCityUK and their facility in Milton Keynes.
Tyrell designed a complete communications solution for SIS LIVE that combines Clear-Com’s Eclipse Omega Matrix, V-Series User Panels, Integrated FreeSpeak and OptoCore. The solution provides SIS LIVE with an efficient and integrated communications infrastructure that enables the company to put their entire intercom and commentary traffic over their new OptoCore fibre network and WAN.
SIS LIVE is Europe’s largest outside broadcast and satellite uplink provider. In order to achieve its future growth plans the company’s production and engineering facilities were relocated to MediaCityUK and they used this opportunity to implement a fibre backbone network for the transfer of all video and audio signals. As part of this process the company also reviewed their intercom and communication infrastructure as they required a scalable and flexible solution that would facilitate audio and video over their new fibre connectivity.
Clear-Com’s Eclipse Matrix enables the reliable connection between MediaCityUK and Milton Keynes via an intelligent IP trunking link allowing the offices to communicate and collaborate effectively. Clear-Com’s close partnership with OptoCore was also significant for SIS LIVE as this allowed the creation of the fibre network that could deliver both full bandwidth audio and video with almost zero latency.Clear-Com has one of the densest matrix frames on the market which enabled SIS LIVE to accommodate all 64 MADI channels in a single card. In addition, through the use of the IVC-32 IP cards, Clear-Com’s IP technology offers SIS LIVE the ability to place their V-Series user panels over their OptoCore network or their corporate LAN/WAN, saving on frame space, power consumption and cost compared with competing products. The high capacity Eclipse intercom solution is fully scalable to accommodate forthcoming developments, making it a valuable long-term investment.
FreeSpeak wireless also integrates seamlessly in the Eclipse Matrix allowing wireless users in the MediaCityUK site to roam the facility whilst remaining in contact with any panel or belt pack user in the network. Placing wireless communications within the Matrix frame ensures a tightly integrated intercom platform.
