TV Globo Score I-MOVIX X10

TV Globo, the largest TV broadcaster in Brazil, is the first Latin American broadcaster to acquire the I-MOVIX X10 continuously streaming ultra slow motion system.
TV Globo will add X10 to the existing complement of SprintCam Vvs HD systems embedded with its sports production crews, to provide further innovation to its coverage of major sporting events.
Destined for deployment at TV Globo’s Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo production centers, the new X10 systems will be used to provide more ultra slow motion footage in premium events such as soccer and volleyball tournaments. TV Globo will also use the X10 for the production of special projects in the network’s documentary and soft news departments.x10_picture
"We are very excited to be the first to use the X10," said José Manuel Mariño, Director of the News and Sports Engineering Division, TV Globo. "TV Globo has a tradition of innovation in sports broadcasting and is always looking after solutions to improve how stories are captured and presented to its audience. It is important for us to have the most modern and the best tools available so that we can achieve this goal, and our partnership with I-MOVIX has been very fruitful. With the X10, we can extend our leadership in the production of outstanding live sports and entertainment content."
The I-MOVIX X10 is the industry’s first live ultra-motion solution to deliver real-time, continuous extreme slow motion in full HD at a ground-breaking 300 fps (or 600 fps in 720p).
X10 far outstrips the performance of existing continuous super-slow motion systems, which are restricted to three times slower than real time, or 90 fps. Developed in partnership with EVS, the X10 system is used with an EVS XT3 production server under LSM control and provides a familiar user interface and controls that any broadcast crew can use immediately without any special training.
"TV Globo is a very influential broadcaster in Latin America, so we are particularly delighted to expand our successful relationship with them through the delivery of the first X10 systems in the region," said I-MOVIX CEO Laurent Renard. "I would like to thank TV Globo for the trust it has put in our products, and Video Systems, our Brazilian partner, for its efficient collaboration in the conclusion of this new deal and its excellent level of service."
