TSL PPL Feature Enhanced MPA1-ASB And ASC At IBC2012

TSL Professional Products Ltd. (PPL) will introduce enhanced performance versions of its entry-level MPA1-ASB and MPA1-ASC audio confidence monitoring units at IBC 2012 (Stand 10.B41).
Part of the Monitor Plus range of products, both units present a simple and cost-effective pathway for television and radio broadcasters, as well as theaters and AV installations, that need audio confidence monitoring. The MPA1-ASB and -ASC units come in dual stereo or eight stereo input versions and are built around a brand new hardware platform.

The enhancements to the MPA1-ASB and -ASC units include upgraded power amplifiers and speakers for improved clarity, as well as a master volume control that can also be used to set levels sent to an external monitoring system. The internal speakers can be independently muted. For more comprehensive integration situations, all eight stereo pairs are available on D25 connectors using industry standard pin-outs. The first two stereo pairs are connected through XLR connectors for fast and simple integration for plug-and-play operation.
Both units offer a front panel balance control and user-selectable fixed or variable line output options, phase indication and a lightweight, shallow form factor, perfect for space-challenged installations. For additional metering options, the MPA1-ASB shows levels of selected inputs via a 12-segment bargraph.
