New appointment at Lightworks

Film and video editing equipment manufacturer Lightworks have announced the appointment of Mike Jarvis as Sales Director.
In this newly created position, Jarvis will be responsible for worldwide direct and indirect sales in all regions, excluding the Americas.
A video industry veteran, Jarvis spent some six years with Avid, as Sales Director responsible for establishing and managing its European sales channel. On leaving Avid, Jarvis served as Sales Director with Snell & Wilcox and, more recently, broadcast operations consultants and specialist software house, Marquis Broadcast. He has previously also held sales management positions with Sony and Abekas.
Matty Causon, Lightworks General Manager, said: “Mike Jarvis has considerable industry experience in sales channel development. As we continue to expand our operations, Mike will be performing a vital role in ensuring Lightworks customers receive the highest levels of local support and service.”
