Espial, a leader in on-demand TV software and solutions, today announced that the company is hosting an invitation-only technology seminar titled "HTML5 Apps: The Smart TV Evolution." Taking place July 25 in Tokyo, the event will explore how HTML5 applications have the power to deliver a more compelling and immersive experience using the next generation of Smart TVs.
"HTML5 and its associated technologies optimize the Smart TV application environment through powerful graphics capabilities, simpler coding, faster time to market, and lower cost development, with the potential to augment the Smart TV experience across companion devices, including smartphones, tablets, media streamers, set-top boxes, and game consoles," said Philip Poulidis, vice president of Smart TV, Espial. "Throughout this event, attendees will learn how leveraging an advanced HTML5-based browser can cost-effectively deliver an engaging television experience across multiple devices, chipsets, and regions."
