Kinomai provide new TV automation solutions

Kinomai, a specialist in smart digital video analysis technologies, are to present their new range of TV automation solutions at NAB 2003.
Using the very latest advances in signal processing, Kinomai solutions provide realtime analysis of an audiovisual programme's audio and video signals. In this way, they detect notable events such as already learnt images, computer graphics, audio jingles and complete audiovisual sequences. Such analysis then enables a whole series of operations to be automatically engaged, including operations that have traditionally been performed manually, such as starting equipment running, synchronising data with a programme, indexing or adding bookmarks for future searches and audio or video sequences monitoring.
By basing their research on the approaches implemented in video surveillance, Kinomai have developed around ten visual and audio properties processing engines, taking account of the requirements of digital television operation in real time and resistance to signal degradation introduced by the broadcasting chain.
As well as developing this expertise, Kinomai have also focused on embedding their technologies on robust hardware platforms that are scalable and easily configurable.
