root6 Appointed As Reseller Of GB Labs' Shared Storage Systems

The Soho specialists at root6 have been appointed as a value added reseller of GB Labs' range of advanced shared storage systems.
GB Labs' Space line offers a complete storage workflow for media professionals. With true plug and play architecture and cross-platform support, the technology greatly accelerates the installation time and simplifies network integration, as John Harris of root6 noted:

root6 will focus on the company's core product, Space, a high-speed enterprise storage system which is suitable as a primary online or nearline system for high intensity editing environments. Both storage capacities and performance can be enhanced with the addition of Space EX units giving workgroups hundreds of terabytes of ultra-fast storage while Space Echo units offer an instant backup, failover editing and nearline storage solution. The units come together for a low maintenance, full-throttle, multi-user experience.
Launched at this year's NAB show, GB Labs' new multi-drive LTO-5 archiving system will also be represented by root6. Delivering the highest-speed tape speeds and the level of data security that video libraries have long craved, Space LTO sets a new standard for the media industry.
