SIS LIVE Boosts its Broadcast Solutions With Vinten

Vinten®, part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company, today announces that one of the largest outside broadcasters in the UK, SIS LIVE, has taken delivery of a significant order to enhance the company’s extensive range of equipment.
SIS LIVE has selected 20 of Vinten’s Vector 750 pan and tilt heads and HDT-2 two stage heavy duty tripods to strengthen its broadcast solutions offering. The new equipment will be used to support SIS LIVE’s expanding business and vast contractual commitments.
Martin Ayshford, operations manager, SIS LIVE Outside Broadcasts says: “The new Vector 750s supplement our already substantial stock of Vinten products. Our commitment to invest in premium quality kit is essential to maintain our high standards in the outside broadcast market.”
SIS LIVE, formerly BBC Outside Broadcasts, has a long standing relationship with Vinten and already owns and utilises a broad range of Vinten lightweight tripods and pan and tilt heads as well as Osprey pedestals. The additional Vector 750 pan and tilt heads and HDT-2 tripods will be used wherever large camera/lens applications demand a rock solid mounting.
The versatile Vinten Vector 750 head is the industry standard Studio/OB pan and tilt head and features a centre of gravity range of 8 to 25cm (3.1 to 9.8 inches), making product selection much easier for the operator. Complete camera control is achieved simply and quickly by dialing in just the right amount of perfect balance to keep the camera system under control and any level of TF drag to keep up with the action at any level of zoom.
The HDT-2 two stage tripod is ideal for large camera and lens combinations, providing maximum flexibility and a substantially stable platform from which to work in any environment.
Martin Ayshford, adds: “We chose the Vector 750 because of its high quality build and ease of operation. It is the industry’s standard panning head and the majority of cameramen we work with are very familiar with Vinten. To be able to consistently shoot outstanding quality images, broadcasters need the right equipment and we believe that this is the best solution in the marketplace.”
Peter Harman, product manager, Vinten, says: “This is a significant deal for us and we have worked closely with SIS LIVE for many years now, not only supplying equipment but also listening to their recommendations and feedback on specific products. SIS LIVE is a leading outside broadcast provider and we draw on the experience of their cameramen, who are the best in the industry, and aim to offer our customers the highest quality products possible.”
