Kanal 5 Commissions Banijay International's Your Life's A Joke

Banijay International’s highly original entertainment format, Your Life’s A Joke (formerly Celebrity Stand-Up) has been licensed by Kanal 5 in Sweden.
Originally created by Banijay Group company, Respirator, two successful seasons of the format have already aired on Denmark’s TV2 Zulu.
The deal will see Banijay Group company Nordisk Film TV produce a tranche of 44’ (commercial hour) episodes for Kanal 5. The series will debut on the channel in Autumn 2012.

In Your Life’s a Joke, brave celebrities risk public humiliation as they write and perform a stand up act in just five days! Mentored by a well-known and experienced comedian, the stars will bare themselves to the viewers like never before as they scrutinise their lives, homes and personal histories for funny topics and take their jokes to the streets to test them on unsuspecting members of the public to ensure they fulfill the show's mandatory tasks.
Finally the celebs - not previously known for their humorous side - go head to head on the stand-up stage, performing their routine in front of a live audience (while viewers observe their monitored stress levels), which will ultimately decide their fate.
