UTV complete radio buyout
Ulster Television (UTV) have announced completion of the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Treaty Radio Limited, a radio broadcasting business based in Limerick, Ireland, for €15.74 million (£10.18 million).
In addition, UTV have assumed liability for the net debt in Treaty Radio of about €1.17million (£0.76 million).
Regulatory clearance has been granted by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland under the Radio and Television Act 1988, and the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment under the Mergers and Takeovers (Control) Acts, 1978 to 1996.
Goodbody Corporate Finance advised UTV and IBI, and Corporate Finance advised Treaty Radio in relation to the transaction.
