Akamai Expands Global NetAlliance Programme

A leading 'cloud platform' for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, Akamai Technologies has announced an expansion of its NetAlliance Partner Programme to include digital media partners, and the launch of its NetAlliance Solution Partner Programme.
Akamai’s NetAlliance Partner Programme for Digital Media includes more than 40 value-added resellers and solution partners, helping joint customers quickly and easily scale global operations and deploy advanced video solutions.
The Partner Programme is designed for global solution providers to integrate Akamai’s services into their offerings and pass the value of Akamai’s cloud platform on to their customers.
As businesses face increasing complexity when delivering video securely to any device, anywhere, Akamai offers a tightly-integrated ecosystem of digital media partners through which customers can access best-of-breed solutions to meet their needs, allowing them to concentrate on their core competencies.
"In today’s rapidly evolving hyperconnected world, media companies must find solutions that address scale, security and storage needs across complex business requirements, all with the goal of providing a high quality experience on any device, anywhere,” said Brad Rinklin, Vice President of Global Marketing and Alliances for Akamai.
“Our diverse channel is designed to empower customers to deploy robust solutions and leverage the cloud without compromising security, reliability or performance. The Akamai NetAlliance Partner Programme is a proven ecosystem of global technology leaders committed to advancing business online.”
Akamai has established successful global alliances with digital media leaders including premier partners like Brightcove, Internet Broadcasting, Kaltura, Kit Digital, Ooyala, and thePlatform, allowing joint customers to access a rich set of technology solutions. The Akamai NetAlliance Partner Programme now enables customers to choose from leaders in integrated post-production, transcoding, encoding, content management, monetisation and player development solutions.
Akamai has also brought on more than half a dozen new digital media partners into its NetAlliance Partner Programme.
In addition, Akamai is launching its NetAlliance Solution Partner Programme with a group of companies that add value through complementary products to enhance customers’ video workflows. Inaugural companies include Civolution, Digital Rapids, Elemental, Envivio, Haivision, Harmonic and Max Sound.
