IBC2002 – a year's worth of information in one show
Organisers for this year's IBC2002 are confident of success, claiming that the event compiles a year's worth of information, all in one place at one time.
The aim of IBC is to provide everyone involved in electronic media - creative, technical and commercial - with a complete update of the latest and best innovations. Discussions and workshops have been arranged and tailored to answer all the questions around the industry's hot topics. The exhibition will offer a comprehensive review of technological advances and all under one roof.
New at IBC2002 is 'What Caught My Eye' which involves a selection of leading figures in the broadcast industry will talk about what they found interesting, exciting, challenging or just plain fun as they walked around the exhibition. The talks will take place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday lunchtimes and run for an hour from 12.30. They are free to all visitors.
Also of interest are the four morning sessions called 'Taming Technology', which are essential briefings for those who have heard the buzzwords and want to find out more, without being blinded by science. Experienced practitioners will talk about how technology contributes to making better programmes, and how it can be tailored to fit budgetary requirements.
'Taming Technology' sessions are free to all visitors, and run from Friday to Monday, from 10.30 to 12pm.
For full details of the topics being covered and the speakers involved, as well as information about the conference and exhibition, visit the conference website on www.ibc.org
