Cable Hails Pinewood's Panasonic Experience Centre

Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills has visited the Panasonic Experience Centre at the famous and very busy Pinewood Studios in Berkshire.
Together with Ivan Dunleavy, Pinewood's Chief Executive, Cable made a special visit to the Panasonic Experience Centre which is an innovations lab and product showcase studio where customers, partners and the media go to try the latest filming, broadcast and display technology.
Whilst at the centre Mr Cable was hosted by Vincent Slevin the company’s Country Manager for PACVSE the division that provides professional displays, projectors and broadcast equipment.
Whilst Mr Slevin's role is primarily about leading the UK marketing, sales and technical support teams for professional displays, he was able to show Mr Cable the interesting products that the facility exhibits.
Mr Slevin said: "Our Experience Centre exposes visitors to the innovative business solutions that Panasonic offer.
"It allows them to experiment with new technologies such as gesture interactivity, 3D simulation, out-of-home digital media and augmented reality. The facility is both a product showroom and a workshop that our customers use to develop a competitive edge in their marketplace."
With Panasonic creating new ideas at Pinewood and Business Innovation and Skills making a difference through supporting sustained growth and innovation in the UK economy, the alignment of both initiatives was apparent.
