Soho 601 posts new Darius promo

Soho 601 have completed postproduction on the promo featuring Darius’ new single “Colour Blind”, which was shot in the Spanish countryside by Director, Gregg Masuak.
At the start of the film, Darius is dropped off on a deserted road with the sun burning down on a scorched terrain. He takes his guitar out of its case and heads off down a dirt track. The film cuts to a solitary girl standing by her car in the middle of nowhere. She kicks her car with frustration as it has broken down.
The backdrop seamlessly changes to cornfields and as Darius walks across them, a flock of black birds are disturbed. They rise up in front of him and disappear into the sky. The film cuts back several times to the girl, who is now sitting by the car, waiting expectantly for someone to come and rescue her. Darius continues his walk and the scenery becomes mountainous and rugged. He finally finds the girl and they dance and kiss in the rain, then climb into the car and drive off together into the evening sun.
Giles Cheetham, Inferno Operator says: “The key challenge was a flock of birds, firstly taking off, then flying in the two following shots. With no birds supplied, I sourced two birds and then duplicated these with offsets (so that the wings moved at different times) to make a flock, with different motion paths. About a hundred birds were used on each shot! The whole thing took two days to do the bird shots, and an afternoon for the conform.”
