UTV Facilities Secures MotoGP Contract

UTV Facilities has been awarded the contract to provide technical and production services for the MotoGP Series by Century TV which starts on BBC Two later this month.
Sean Ferrin, Head of Resources, UTV, said: "Securing this contract with Century TV to provide broadcast services for this high profile BBC network commission is a strong endorsement not only of our technical facilities, but also the quality of our people. Rohan Browning, Managing Director, Century TV, said: "We are delighted to be working with UTV to assist us in the delivery of the MotoGP for the BBC. it is a challenging technical setup involving many hurdles, but after months of detailed planning, we feel extremely confident that we are in good hands."
Gerry Feeney, Broadcast Resources Manager, UTV, said: "UTV Facilities will provide worldwide satellite downlinks, a production team to support vision, sound and graphics, programme archiving, Avid editing in conjunction with Avid Interplay and ISIS storage and provision of network feeds to BBC Television Centre.
"The MotoGP Series has 18 races all over the world and UTV is perfectly placed to meet the demanding technical and exacting production standards. Our team is working closely with Century TV to prepare for the first race in Qatar on March 20."
