S&T Appoints New General Manager

Strategy & Technology (S&T) has responded to the considerable demand for Hybrid systems by establishing a dedicated business unit headed up by Matt Whitfield.
Whitfield joins S&T from Freeview Australia, where he was most recently the Technical Director responsible for phase 2 (MHEG-5 Platform EPG) of the Freeview platform.
S&T has been instrumental in the deployment of interactive technology across the Freeview platform in Australia and as well as working with partner Magna Systems, worked closely with the team at Freeview Australia. David Cutts, S&T Managing Director, said: "Our experience working with Whitfield on this complex project was first rate. When he returned to London he was the obvious choice for this role and I am delighted to have him on board to further our success in the deployment of MHEG in Connected TV."
Matt Whitfield, now General Manager, Applications and Hybrid Systems, explained: "The business will provide solutions to support new and existing MHEG interactive TV standard users worldwide, including the creation, maintenance and enhancement of interactive applications for EPGs, Video on Demand and digital teletext, using MHEG, MHEG-IC, CI+ and HbbTV platforms. It's an exciting time for this technology and S&T is definitely one of the leaders in the deployment of this standard."
