Bright Space To Distribute Picturall Octo

A top distributor to the AV and broadcast industry, Bright Space Technologies, has been awarded the UK Distribution of the Picturall Octo media server and display control system.
Bright Space Technologies will now supply the Picturall Octo media server, which has been described as 'one of most powerful and cost-effective solutions for multi-screen video or projection installations available,' to broadcasters and event companies throughout the UK.
"Picturall is a company with a flair for the technical and an eye for innovation," confirmed Colin Clarke, Senior Technical Sales & Support Manager.
"We are delighted now to be able to supply the Picturall Octo media server which is a quality solution for playout of many media files types within the conference, events and studio environment.
"The Octo contains 2 x 1 Tb hard drives, a base of 8 DVI inputs, which can be increased to a total of 24 using triple DVI output cards.
"This plus its scheduling software and a host of additional features, makes it a particularly flexible solution for manipulating stored media," he said.
Launched at the PLASA Show in 2009, the Octo unit has already found favour with events companies and broadcasters.
With its state-of-the-art edge blending and contour mapping, 4K video projection, 32 media layers and free screen positioning of images, it provides a real impact to the way studio graphics can be stored and seen.
