Adobe's 'Critical' Flash Flaw Fixed

A 'critical' security flaw that allowed hackers to take control of affected computer systems has now been addressed by Adobe.
The small number of targeted attacks was first detected in early June.
The Flash and Reader software were mainly to blame as the prime targets for computer savvy criminals. Those running Macintosh, Windows, or Linux were also thought to be vulnerable.
The Adobe security update is one of a bumper package that fixes a total of 32 documented vulnerabilities.
Websense Security firm confirmed that the flaw was being passed on via e-mails that prompted recipients to open virus affected websites.
Adobe have urged users to apply the update as soon as possible. They have agreed to release an update at the end of June for its Reader and Acrobat programmes correcting a similar bug that makes it possible to booby-trap PDFs.
As a result, Adobe is reportedly considering patching its applications more frequently.
Last year, they announced an aggressive programme to enhance security after hackers increasingly found weaknesses in their products.
The security update came after the release of Adobe's 10.1 version of the Flash player.
