Archive Market Expanded By MWA

A Berlin-based company renowned for precision engineering in the film and audio industries has announced the formation of a new distribution channel for restoration and archive systems for the film, audio and video industries.
MWA Nova GmbH said the new business, MWA Asia & Associates will provide an innovative structure and approach to the distribution and sales of MWA Nova's products in the Chinese and South East Asian Markets.
The new company will have offices in Beijing and Hong Kong offering full engineering support facilities in local languages. Complete workflow solutions for film, audio and video with system integration will also form a core element of the organisation's activities.
MWA's Corporate Business Manager Justin Haslam-Lucas, will take on the role of Sales and Marketing Director, MWA Asia & Associates.
He will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing of MWA's products across China and Southeast Asia.
He explained: "It's a fantastic opportunity and whilst digital intermediate workflows are commonplace, the whole question of archiving and restoring film, audio, and video is only really just emerging."
Meanwhile, Frank Ortwein, Director of MWA Nova and Chairman of the new organisation added: "This new venture gives us an opportunity to expand and drive our products forward in emerging restoration markets."
