Mini Pixel Lab Call For Applications

Skillset Academi+ and Power to the Pixel are delighted to announce that applications are now open for The Mini Pixel Lab, to be held on the 3rd, 7th and 9th of July 2010 in the five star St David's Hotel & Spa in Cardiff. This unique workshop offers a tailored, hands-on opportunity for developing and financing cross-media stories.
Ten Welsh producers with projects will be selected for the course, running over one day and two afternoons, held in tandem with The Pixel Lab residential workshop. The Mini Pixel Lab will comprise group work, plenary sessions and case study presentations. Successful applicants will also benefit from a networking lunch and drinks reception, where they will meet their European counterparts, international tutors and invited representatives from the Welsh media industries.
The Mini Pixel Lab is open to Welsh producers with a strong track record in their industry sector. It will allow successful applicants to tap into the knowledge-pool of the film, online, broadcast, gaming and mobile industries. As such, selected project stories must be able to span film, TV, gaming, online, mobile and live events; producers must own the rights to develop the project in all required media.
The deadline for applications is 21st May 2010.
