Riedel Celebrates Sports Emmy For Red Bull

A high-flying Red Bull outdoor event has been rewarded with a prestigious Emmy Award.
This is the second time in a row that the Red Bull Air Race World Championship has achieved the accolade.
It received the Sports Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science in New York. The programme, which is broadcast in the USA on Fox Sports Network (FSN), won in the category Outstanding Technical Team Remote, which recognizes the technical portion of sports programmes in remote venues.
The programmes for FSN are produced by the American company G.R.A.C.E Productions together with the Austrian based production company West4Media as well as Riedel Communications, SiVision and Sky Media.
The Emmy Awards are regarded as the Oscars' equivalent for sports television.
For the seventh year in a row, Riedel Communications served as the official global supplier of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
Riedel has been celebrating the accolade too as it was at the forefront of the event providing the entire communications and signal distribution solutions, integrating both HD video and audio signals as well as wireless and wired digital intercom systems.
Additionally, Riedel is supplying the HD cameras and RF links for the race planes’ onboard cameras enabling stunning pictures to be delivered from the pilots’ perspectives.
Utilizing its revolutionary MediorNet technology, Riedel Communications was responsible for all on-site communications and signal distribution for the event as well as the wireless onboard HD cameras at the Red Bull Air Race.
