Argosy Supplies Presteigne At World Cup

A leading international supplier of HD broadcast, cables and studio infrastructure products, Argosy, has announced that it is supplying a range of its infrastructure products to Presteigne Charter at the forthcoming World Cup in South Africa.
Presteigne is one of the world's leading broadcast dry hire and systems rental specialists, and Argosy is no stranger to working with Presteigne Charter as the company has provided its infrastructure equipment for productions in the past such as I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here in Australia, as well as various major worldwide sporting events including the French Open Tennis and supported the first high-definition coverage of The Championships at Wimbledon 2009.
Furthermore Presteigne has utilised Argosy equipment in its high-definition fly-away kit, which over previous years had been deployed for use at the Red Bull Air Race Series and the National Lottery Live Draw in high-definition from Pinewood Studios.
Most recently Argosy supplied a raft of multi-way cables, including a multi-CAT6 cable, to support Presteigne Charter’s involvement in the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
"The use of Argosy's multi-way cables at the recent Winter Games had a dramatic affect on the time it took to rig and de-rig the installation for this major event," said Roy Callow, Head Of Project Engineering at Presteigne Charter.
"This approach saved us a significant amount of work on site and it is for this reason that we have placed a further order for a range of pre-terminated cables - alongside other infrastructure products - for our installation at the World Cup in South Africa later this year."
