Dolby Audio 'Supports' Oscar Nominations

Dolby Laboratories, Inc. have announced that all films nominated for an Oscar in the Achievement in Sound Editing and Achievement in Sound Mixing categories included Dolby audio technologies.
This marks 32 consecutive years that films released with Dolby audio technologies have earned Academy Award nominations for outstanding sound quality. Recognised as the de facto standard for high-quality audio in cinema, Dolby's audio technologies, including Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Surround EX, dramatically enhance the cinema-going experience.
"Dolby congratulates the talented Sound Mixers and Editors nominated for this year’s Academy Awards," said Page Haun, Senior Director, Marketing, Cinema Segment, Dolby Laboratories.

The 82nd annual Academy Awards are scheduled to take place at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre on Sunday, March 7.
