Adaptimax Aim For The Stars

A thriving small company which is less than a year old, has gone from very small beginnings to becoming the main player in the camera adaptor market.
Adaptimax will be attending this year's Broadcast Video Expo at Earls Court with their full range of products for customers to test out and inspect.
"We only formed the business in February 2009 but have never looked back," said Steve Shovlar, Managing Director.
"Our camera adaptors sell around the world and we now have distributors in every continent. And with new products becoming available shortly, our product range will increase as the year goes on."
He added: "Being a small business we realise there are huge swathes of people who have yet to discover our adaptors, and why they would benefit from owning one. So we decided to exhibit at BVE and let people try them out on our stand.
"They can handle the adaptors and feel the quality for themselves. They will be able to test them out on a Sony PMW-EX3 and HVR-Z7 and soon realise this small piece of kit could open up whole new areas of filmmaking. Our Adaptimax range have been purchased by police forces for surveillance, wildlife filmmakers to get that close up shot with a macro lens, or to capture something too far away to use the stock lens."
With a magnification factor of X5.4, a 300mm Nikon or Canon lens becomes a 1620mm super telephoto. Nikon and Canon stills lenses are easily found on Ebay and very cheap to buy.
Steve continued: "We shot some footage of the moon recently with a 1000mm Sigma prime lens attached to an EX3, and the results were remarkable
" a small portion of the moon filled the whole frame, and with edge to edge sharpness in HD small individual craters could be seen with ease. It just shows how versatile our Adaptimax adaptors can be."
