RF Central Features Six-Way Diversity Receiver At HD World 2009
RF Central, part of the Vitec Group's RF Extreme business unit, and a leading provider of digital and analog microwave systems for the broadcast market, as well as the sports & entertainment, government, military and international marketplace, is featuring its RMR-X6-II-D six-way COFDM diversity receiver at HD World 2009 (Stand 1008).
Building on the success of its signature RFX-RMR-X6 and RMR-X6-II, RF Central's RFX-RMR-X6-II-D now features an internal SD/HD Decoder.
Representing the latest in maximum ratio combining technology, the RMR-X6-II family offers superior diversity reception with new cutting-edge features, including On Screen Display of stream data, Ethernet monitoring for remote control access and IP encapsulation for internet broadcast.
The unit is available either as a stand alone COFDM receiver with ASI output or with an integral SD/HD decoder making local decode and control available.
Delivering a broadcast-rugged package that captures the essence of flexibility and forward thinking design, the RMR-X6-II-D is outfitted with a straightforward front panel design, compact chassis and OLED graphic display.
Don Hoeler, RF Extreme Vice President of Sales & Marketing, said: "Through the development of the new RMR-X6-II-D, RF Central has expanded diversity receiver options for today's marketplace. While customers continue to take full advantage of diversity reception with all of the benefits of maximum ratio combining established by our original RFX-RMR-X6, they now have the equipment necessary for doing this as they transition into full HD with multiple broadcast delivery platforms."
