De Wolfe Re-Mastered Catalogue Online

The production music publishers, De Wolfe Music, which is celebrating its centenary this year, will be digitally re-mastering a large proportion of its vast back catalogue for release online.
The ongoing project will expand De Wolfe's production music catalogue by several thousand tracks, which until now were only available on the many hundreds of deleted 12" vinyl records produced by the publishers from 1962 until 1985.
Among the first batch of tracks released online are two complete, highly sought-after albums by celebrated jazz composer Basil Kurchin, as well as a selection of tracks by Simon Park, who reached Number One in the charts with the Simon Park Orchestra's 'Eye Level' in 1973.
Many more tracks are to be added over the next few months from world-renowned composers Stephane Grapelli, Pierre Arvay, Stanley Black, Ivor Slaney, Alan Parker, Stanley Myers and many more. They will be offered exclusively to De Wolfe's registered clients by download from dewolfemusic.com
De Wolfe has decided to re-release the albums digitally for production use as the original records have become collectable and are sampled extensively, with many of the tracks appearing on recent commercial releases by the likes of Beyoncé, The Nextmen, Ugly Duckling, Jay-Z and Fat Joe.
The digitally re-mastered tracks cover a massive range of genres, including some of the more unusual areas of production music intended to plug the gaps where other libraries may lack content. The newly available albums evoke the sounds and feel of the sixties, seventies and eighties, when they were originally recorded.
They include all sorts of funky gems, synthesizer experiments and traditional pop, world music, folk and jazz, as well as epic orchestral compositions and music pieces which featured in the many British films and TV shows soundtracked by De Wolfe at the time, such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, Rising Damp, Minder, Timeslip and Man About The House.
