AVC Media helps Safway visualise new product with 3D animation
The Challenge.
SAFWAY have identified a need for a visualisation of a new product that was soon to released on the market. Discussions and pre production meetings were held at the start of 2014 with wireframe drafts being delivered to SAFWAY throughout the production process. SAFWAY highlighted early on in the process that they would like to showcase the new product using a landmark close to their HQ in New York- The Brooklyn Bridge.
The Delivery.
AVC Media produced a full scale 3D model of the New York landscape and Brooklyn Bridge. The 3D animation team utilised all of their experience to fully develop and interpret the provided models which resulted in minimal technical input from the client. AVC provided SAFWAY with a full high definition (1920 x 1080) mp4 file of the complete QuikSheild animation. The project was completed in time for the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2014. SAFWAY featured the 3D animation on their main stand at OTC 2014.

AVC Media Wins Contract with Major Oil and Gas Firm
AVC Media have won a mid six-figure contract with an international oil firm.
We have been awarded the three-year deal with GDF SUEZ E&P UK to install and manage audio visual and conferencing equipment into the oil company’s new Aberdeen office on North Esplanade West. AVC was chosen over two other firms following a competitive tendering process.
Audio visual operations manager Graeme McGuire said it could potentially be the largest project the company has had from one firm.
He said: “We are delighted to have won this contract as it will really showcase what our experienced team is capable of.
“We specialise in coming up with solutions to whatever audio visual problem clients are faced with, along with letting our clients know about the latest technologies and systems so their business works effectively.
“The team relishes that challenge which also includes pre-preparing all the equipment beforehand which is better for everyone as it ensures a smooth installation on the day.
“We hope this contract could lead to more work with GDF SUEZ and we’ll also build on the experience we gained in the process when tendering for work with other companies.”
The GDF SUEZ contract will involve all of AVC Media’s Audio Visual 13-strong team, from the installation to the later stages of the contract at the new North Esplanade West office. It also includes managing audio visual equipment in the oil company’s London office, as well as site offices in Hartlepool and Leven.
