February 2017 – November 2017 – Senior Technician – Lead Designer – Hayley Williams SFX Ltd - Contract
Mechanical design solutions using Solidworks.
Classic animatronics creating a small mechanical buck with realistic head ear and body movement, placed on a 6 axis motion base
with bottom rotate which allows VFX specialists to create and program exact flight paths as depicted by pre-viz footage. Design and
build of various hydraulic shaker bases used on train carriages and vintage vehicles.
Solidworks FEA Simulation to perform stress analysis and torque motion studies.
Undertake welding and machining operations, assembly of parts, fit and test on set, maintain and adjust the buck during blue screen
filming, support floor team with other effects such as silent wind.
Project managing throughout to maintain filming deadlines scheduled at Pinewood Studios.
All projects completed using exclusively Solidworks 2017, including production part and assembly drawings with associated bills of
materials. Maintaining technical design files and considering HSE requirements, participating in risk assessments etc.

June 2022 – August 2022 - Lead Senior Technician/Designer - Fireball Films Ltd - Contract
Design with Solidworks space frame style vehicle chassis, fabricate including all welding to convert the vehicle suitable for SFX
explosion scenes.
Design and skin with sheetmetal existing motorised rolling chassis fully welded to create a lookalike crashed helicopter ready for SXF
destruction while working in Portugal
