About Robson Kay Associates Ltd
We are providers of asset-realisation services to insolvency practitioners, government departments, financial institutions and corporate bodies. Robson Kay’s primary focus is insolvency and corporate recovery. Our website is updated regularly and provides details of forthcoming sales by auction and tender, property for sale and other assets for sale.
Auction/Tender Diary & Catalogues
Whilst we sometimes sell assets by private treaty, which are listed in the Assets for Sale or Businesses for Sale sections of our website, we primarily sell assets by auction and occasionally by tender.
Auction and tender sales are listed in this section of the website, with most sales taking place online via www.bidspotter.co.uk. We typically hold between one and three auctions per month, of which the majority consist of assets which have been moved to our premises, but occasionally we sell assets which remain at the premises of the insolvent company.
Depending upon how far in advance of a sale we start marketing, the individual page on a specific auction can be updated many times in advance of the sale; however, our newsletters sent to all those on our mailing list tend to advise of any major updates.
Property for Sale
We are often instructed to sell properties as a result of bankruptcy, corporate insolvency or repossession. These can range from a modest residential property or industrial unit to large estates and property portfolios. We rarely sell properties by auction, and should you be interested in finding out more information or arranging to view any of the properties listed below, please contact our offices for further details.
Assets for Sale
Whilst the majority of the assets we are instructed upon are sold by formal auction or tender, we occasionally sell assets simoply by private treaty. These assets are normally located at our premises; however, they are sometimes sold insitu at sites all over the UK. If you are interested in finding out more information about any of the assets listed here, or arranging a viewing, please contact our office for further details.
Businesses for Sale
We are often instructed by liquidators and administrators to sell a complete business. It is important to make the distinction between selling a company and selling a business. We do not normally sell 'the company', as this would mean selling the shares, with the buyer taking on existing liabilities and book debts.
When a company enters into administration or liquidation, we are normally instructed to sell the business, which effectively means the assets of the company. This would typically include any office furniture and equipment, fixtures and fittings, stock (where it is not claimed back under Retention of Title by suppliers), work in progress, order book, any rights the company has to its trading name, telephone and fax numbers, website and email addresses, contracts (where assignable), etc. Such sales would not normally include the property. The new buyer might have the existing lease assigned to them, or arrange a new one, or indeed choose to move the physical assets to a different location altogether.
Specialist Coach Auctions
Our expertise in conducting auctions is in maximising the realisation cost effectively, irrespective of the type of assets being sold.
Despite the wide variety of assets sold by us, we are recognised as being the leading coach auctioneers in the UK, and have conducted the most successful coach auctions in the UK.
