At Drone Air, we provide aerial filming and photography services at up to 4k resolution using both UAVs and helicopters. With a background in the broadcast industry and many high profile clients including the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, Sky, CBS, and Discovery Channel, our knowledge of filming and photographic techniques is second to none. Additionally, we offer a quick turnaround post-production service should you so require.

We have been filming aerial footage since 2007 both here in the UK and worldwide, and as such have direct experience of almost all aerial situations and a thorough understanding of the legal and safety requirements that an aerial shoot demands. We have full CAA permissions for commercial work and public liability insurance of £5m which can be extended to £10m if necessary. We are on 1st Option's approved supplier list, as well as being members of ARPAS-UK. We can setup in no time at all and have the ability to fly for long periods of time, so your busy shooting schedule will not be hindered.

For our UAV or drone filming and photography, we use a DJI Spreading Wings S900, coupled with a Panasonic Lumix GH4 4k resolution camera which produces ultra-stable, crystal clear footage. As it weighs under 7kg, we do not have to submit case by case applications if we need to fly in built up areas. Our drone has fail-safe 'auto-land' and 'return to home' modes, in the extremely unlikely event of a technical issue.

For our helicopter filming and photography, we use a Eurocopter twin engine AS355 and the Cineflex HD camera system, with a Sony HDC-F950 camera and a 42x Fujinon zoom lens.

For both platforms, you are of course welcome to join us on the shoot and direct the shots as they happen.
