About SL Consultancy Ltd
EDITEC’s Steve Cotterill, with over 30 years' experience in the broadcast industry, has supplied I-MOVIX SprintCam and X10 systems for sale or rental to broadcasters in the UK and abroad since the product line was launched, working with key players on Ultra Motion coverage of events in the UK and worldwide, including darts, Formula 1 racing, Hickstead show jumping, boxing, Premier League football, the Heineken Cup, international rugby, Cartier Polo finals and Saudi Premiere League football, and world-class broadcasters such as BT Sport, ITV Sport, Dubai TV, Eurosport and Sky Sports.
The I-MOVIX range of products - Sprintcam Vvs, X10 and world-first image processing base, d-Flicker engine - are designed specifically for extreme slow motion and have been received with great acclaim by both sports and commercial customers worldwide. With superfast installation and user-friendly custom-designed control panels, the camera runs off a standard SMPTE fibre and takes broadcast B4 mount lenses. For film-style shooting, the camera can be fitted with a PL mount lens.
I-MOVIX (www.i-movix.com) is a Belgian company with market-leading technology in the domain of extreme slow motion (from 150 to 10,000 fps). I-MOVIX offers the first true ultra-slow-motion solutions, fully integrated for broadcast use, with an unprecedented combination of very high frame rates and instant replay, or continuous streaming.
Editec are proud to be the sole UK distributors of the I-MOVIX Sprintcam and X10 hi-motion camera systems. The systems are also available for rental from Editec, along with skilled operators and engineers.
Steve Cotterill
Steve (Cotters) is known throughout the industry, and started Editec some 22 years ago with the aim of providing slow-motion facilities to the OB marketplace.
Initially trained whilst working at Central TV Birmingham in the era of two-inch Quad format (!!), he has extensive experience in the broadcast field covering MCR, Studio and OB operations. Steve was responsible for introducing the EVS LSM into the UK and several other worldwide markets, and purchased the very first I-MOVIX camera manufactured. He wished he was as good at spotting a winner in the Grand National!!!
