Highlands of Scotland Film Commission

The Scottish Highlands and Islands Film Commission offers a free and confidential service to the film, television and commercial production community including: information and advice on locations and permissions, contacts for cast, crew and facilities, information on accommodation and recce support. We work closely with Scottish Screen, the national film agency for Scotland, and are members of the AFCI (Association of Film Commissioners International).

Our online locations database covers Argyll & Bute, Highland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland Islands Council.

The Scottish Highlands and Islands Film Commission holds an extensive digitised photographic library, consisting of over 40,000 images, of Highland locations and can forward you a range of suggestions to suit the requirements of your script.
