Cooper Joins Foundry

A visual effects software developer, The Foundry, has appointed Lucy Cooper as its new Marketing Manager.
Ms Cooper, who will be predominantly based at The Foundry's headquarters in Soho, London, will be responsible for worldwide marketing of the company's acclaimed range of visual effects compositing, image-processing and creative plug-in products.
She has a strong track record in marketing in film and television post production, and physical special effects.
Most recently she headed the marketing department at Artem Ltd, one of Europe's largest physical special effects companies, working on feature film projects such as Hot Fuzz, Doomsday and Terry Gilliam's The Brothers Grimm, as well as commercials including Sony Bravia 'Play Doh' and the current BT 'Gremlins' spot starring tycoon Peter Jones (Dragon's Den/American Inventor).
Prior to that Cooper held marketing posts at BBC MediaArc (now Red Bee Media), BBC Resources, Tele-Cine (part of Todd AO) and Scottish Television.
She replaces Nicki Morris, who has taken the new role of Regional Sales Manager at The Foundry.
The Foundry's portfolio includes a trio of Academy Award-winning products: Nuke, the high-end compositing system; Furnace, the collection of powerful image-processing plug-ins, which boost workflow and productivity; and Keylight, the advanced keying application.
The Foundry's products also include Tinder plug-ins for creative and environmental visual effects; Forge, a command-line dust and dirt-busting application; plus Anvil colour manipulation tools. The company is currently developing Ocula, a unique collection of plug-ins for 3D stereoscopic post production.
Bill Collis, Chief Executive Officer at The Foundry, commented: "The Foundry is well-known for being customer-focused and customer-driven. Lucy has a lot of experience in this arena and, as we move ahead with new product developments, we look forward to the fresh perspectives she will bring to our business."
Ms Cooper herself commented: "The Foundry has an enviable reputation for innovation and continues to break new ground with products such as Nuke, Furnace and Ocula.
"I am really looking forward to working with the team, and marketing the company's continually expanding portfolio of award-winning products to the global market."
