Scottish Screen Supports Screen Industries In Scotland

Scottish Screen has recently made a number of awards in support of the screen industries in Scotland.
The following award was made at the Investment Meeting held on Tuesday 26 September and totals £2,000 from Lottery funds.

To represent and promote GamerZ, Pure Magic Films and Scottish Screen to an international audience at Lund International Fantastic Film Festival and FantasticFest in Austin Texas.
The following awards were made at the Investment Meeting held on Wednesday 4 October and total £33,200 from Lottery funds. The awards break down as follows.

Scottish Screen is the national screen agency for Scotland with responsibility for developing all aspects of screen culture and industry across the country.
Scottish Screen invests more than £6m in the development and promotion Scotland’s screen industries each year. This includes distributing £3m of National Lottery funds. They invest in a range of initiatives, projects and activities designed to develop talent, audiences and businesses across the country.
With over 100 Scottish-based production companies and more than 300 facilities companies generating a turnover of £1.2 billion (€1.7 billion) per year, production activity in Scotland is the highest in the UK outside London.
