MRMC Gears Up for Back-to-Back Industry Showcases At Cine Gear Expo And InfoComm 2025

Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC), a Nikon company, is set for a busy June, showcasing its cutting-edge camera robotics and motion control solutions at two significant industry events.
Kicking things off, MRMC will return to Cine Gear LA Expo from June 6-7 at stand 007 alongside Camera Control, where we're looking forward to connecting with creatives, technicians, and business professionals to share ideas and foster new collaborations. Directly following Cine Gear, MRMC will make its very first appearance at InfoComm® 2025. From June 7-13 in Orlando, Florida, you can join us at stand 5386 alongside Nikon group company RED Digital Cinema. The event will showcase examples of seamless workflows between MRMC, Nikon, and RED, demonstrating the collaborative solutions we can offer together.
At Cine Gear LA Expo, MRMC will proudly showcase the newly launched Bolt PTR, a high-precision, compact camera head designed exclusively for the Bolt and Bolt X Cinebots. The Bolt PTR revolutionises camera movement by allowing the camera to pan, tilt, and roll independently from the Bolt Arm. Its precision-engineered servo motor and gearbox deliver smoother, more stable, and responsive motion that rivals the sturdiest of rigs. Lightweight and compact, the Bolt PTR is fully compatible with modern professional cameras, making it perfect for challenging environments such as car interiors or miniature sets. With impressive acceleration up to 1000∘/s2 and speeds hitting 360∘/s, plus an integrated slip ring for unlimited roll while powering your camera and focus motors, the Bolt PTR unlocks previously impossible shots.
In addition to the Bolt PTR, the MRMC stand will also feature the Cinebot Max. User-friendly and highly portable, the Cinebot Max boasts a 1.75m arm, making it ideal for on-location filming like its smaller counterpart, the Cinebot Mini. However, the Max offers additional reach and payload capacity expected from larger rigs. Building upon the revolutionary PushMoco® technology, the Max's arm can be intuitively manoeuvred into any position by hand. Camera movements can then be played back seamlessly, and with a 3.2m height and maximum 20kg payload, it is adaptable to multiple use cases, from intricate tabletop work in the studio to dynamic live-action shooting on location.
Completing our lineup of innovative demonstrations are two solutions from our Slidekamera range. Get a look at the Atlas Moco - Bullhead kit, paired with the RED Komodo X. This versatile system features a modular slider and a 2-axis remote head, driven by reliable motors and built for professional cameras up to 10kg. It's available in various lengths, including the 0.8m and 1.2m sections on display, as well as 2m and 3m options. We'll also feature the ORION Slider alongside the RED Komodo X, NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ, and the MRMC SR-1 bundle. The ORION Slider is a lightweight, portable fixed-length rail, perfectly complemented by the SR-1 Small Robotic Head, a robust pan-tilt head for professional photography and videography.
On MRMC's Broadcast Stand, which it will share with RED, the company will be highlighting the capabilities of the Studiobot LT. Designed for permanent or semi-permanent studio productions, this robot is easy to set up and run, offering unrivalled flexibility and a wide envelope of motion that enables content creators to drastically increase output quality within a small footprint. It supports up to 10kg, making it ideally suited for box-cameras with a typical studio lens. It features native support for broadcast serial lenses, as well as being able to drive external lens motors. It also comes equipped with numerous safety features and a tally lamp for studio deployment. There is also a choice of base and mounting for floor, ceiling, or a track, meaning the StudioBot LT can be deployed for a range of applications. The system is easily controlled via an industry-leading software interface, provides FreeD positional data, and offers an API for integration with studio automation systems making it suitable for integration into VR environments and advanced broadcast workflows.
On display will also be the QRS Quiet Rail System and LLS Light Lift System. The award-winning QRS Quiet Rail System is a cost-effective, modular track designed for studio, event, and mixed-production environments and ideal for those looking for either fixed or portable setups and works equally well with an MRMC robotic head or third-party PTZ. The LLS Light Lift System makes it incredibly easy, and not to mention cost-effective, to add vertical motion to your production. No matter how you need to mount the kit, it can be positioned to capture talent, crowd shots or even seamlessly integrate with your broadcast and virtual productions workflows.
Some of the MRMC products will be demonstrated with the latest RED camera technology, such as the KOMODO-X, highlighting synergies between the two companies. This includes a showcase of the powerful combination of the RED KOMODO-X and MRMC SR-1, which will highlight the activity at the co-branded booth.
