PlayBox Neo reports a successful and well attended 2024 NAB Show, held in mid April at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

Now in its 101st year, the event attracted nearly 1,300 exhibitors and a claimed 65,000+ registered attendees.

"Highlight exhibits on our booth included the latest refinements to our range of broadcast playout and channel branding solutions," said Van Duke, PlayBox Neo Director of U.S. Operations. "These include new creative features for AirBox Neo-20, Capture Suite and Media Gateway plus SMPTE ST 2110 IP connectivity. We also demonstrated the latest versions of our Channel-in-a-Box solution and software-centric Cloud2TV. These new features give PlayBox Neo system operators the ability to manage practically every aspect of the media management workflow from a single desktop with any desired level of automation."

"Every stage from ingest right through to transmission can be performed quickly and easily within the PlayBox Neo platform," added Sonya Chakarova, Business Development Manager, Latin America. "That includes video editing, scheduling, ad and promo insertion, graphics generation and manipulation, storage and pre-playout QC."

Introduced at the April 2024 NAB Show were the latest versions of AirBox Neo-20, Capture Suite, Channel-in-a-Box, Media Gateway and Cloud2TV.

• AirBox Neo-20 provides automated content streaming and broadcast playout for any kind of TV channel. New additions include a graphic mixer with 4K-UHD optimization, video resize capability, separate fade transition for every logo preset implementation, plus full 1:1 mirror mode.

• Capture Suite is a multi-channel multi-server UHD/HD/SD live ingest solution, now expanded to include XMP file support, allowing close integration with Adobe Premiere video editing software.

• Channel-in-a-Box is the world’s best-selling playout and channel branding system. Designed for single channel or multiple channel HD or UHD operation, it provides all the facilities needed to keep a channel on-air, including playout automation, scheduling, interactive CG and graphics, content ingest and live delivery.

• Media Gateway allows routing and encoding to be performed entirely in software. NAB Show 2024 sees the addition of support for 1:1 aspect ratio 3840 x 3840 resolution 25 to 60 fps video display plus audio visualisation.

All four products also gain SMPTE ST 2110 input and output via DeckLink IP/SDI HD cards, allowing IP-based content capture and playback connectivity over any distance.

• Cloud2TV is a SaaS-based processing platform and cloud-native service offering media content owners, broadcasters and playout service-providers high operational efficiency and agility. Latest features include a new implementation of advanced search and custom CSV database import.
