Magnifi has been awarded the prestigious 2023 NAB Product of the Year award in the AI and machine learning category for its flagship product, Magnifi Digital Highlights Pro which enables the auto-creation of key moments and highlights in real time enhanced with AI-enabled Ball Tracking.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) award program recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of broadcasting and video production—honouring some of the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by exhibitors at the NAB Show.

With many in the broadcasting space turning to AI technology because of its ability to automate routine workflows, Magnifi's AI-powered editing and content distribution capabilities are completely transforming the highlight reel creation process, giving broadcasters the ability to quickly produce high volumes of concise and engaging video content optimised for social media and the mobile-first generation – matching modern sports fans’ ever-increasing and evolving appetites.

"We are thrilled to receive the NAB Product of the Year award in the AI and machine learning category," said Vinayak Shrivastav, CEO and Co-Founder of Magnifi. "Our team has worked tirelessly to create a product that solves real-world problems for our customers using the latest AI and machine learning technology. This award is a testament to our commitment to innovation and our dedication to providing the best possible solutions for our clients."

The NAB Show Product of the Year award is given to companies that demonstrate excellence in the development and application of innovative technology in the broadcasting and video production industry. This year’s winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 15 categories and announced during a live awards ceremony at the NAB Show on April 18. To be eligible for an award, nominated products had to come from companies exhibiting at the 2023 NAB Show and be delivered within the 2023 calendar year. Magnifi was selected for its cutting-edge AI and machine learning technology that enables broadcasters and media companies to efficiently analyse, categorise and manage vast amounts of video content.

"During our centennial year, NAB continues to recognize the products that are transforming how content is being created, connected and capitalised throughout the broadcast, media and entertainment industry," said NAB SVP and Chief Customer Success Officer Eric Trabb. "Congratulations to Magnifi for winning the 2023 NAB Show Product of the Year Award in recognition of Digital Highlights Pro with AI-enabled Ball Tracking, a product that has demonstrated its ability to help storytellers face the challenges of the present and future by revolutionising a critical stage of the content lifecycle."
